Zetakey Privacy Policy

The Zetakey Privacy Policy describes how we treat personal information when you use Zetakey's products and services, including when you use Zetakey browser to access those products and services.

This Zetakey Privacy Notice describes the privacy practices that are specific to the Zetakey products. This includes the Zetakey browser.

Zetakey may change this Policy from time to time. If we make any changes to this Policy, we will change the “Last modified” date above.

Information Zetakey receives when you use Zetakey Browser

You do not need to provide any personally identifying information in order to use Zetakey Browser.

When you use Zetakey Browser, to contact Zetakey's servers, by default Zetakey receives standard log information including your system’s IP address and one or more cookies. You can configure Zetakey browser to not accept cookies from Zetakey or other sites. Learn more about configuring cookies and site data in Zetakey browser.

In addition, some Zetakey Browser features may send limited additional information to Zetakey's server. When you type URLs or queries in the Zetakey Browser address bar, the letters you type may be sent to Freebase's keyword search services, so that the prediction feature can automatically recommend terms or URLs you may be looking for. If you use Zetakey Browser’s location feature, which allows you to share your location with a web site, Zetakey Browser will send local network information to Zetakey Location Services to get an estimated location. The local network information may include (depending on the capabilities of your device) information about the wifi routers closest to you, cell IDs of the cell towers closest to you, the strength of your wifi or cell signal, and the IP address that is currently assigned to your device. We use the information to process the location request and to operate, support, and improve the overall quality of Zetakey Browser and Zetakey Location Services. The collected information described above will be anonymized and aggregated before being used by Zetakey to develop new features or products and services, or to improve the overall quality of any of Zetakey’s other products and services.

Information stored on your system when you use Zetakey Browser

Zetakey Browser stores some information locally on your system. This may include, (a) Basic browsing history information, for example the URLs of pages that you visit, a cache file of text and images from those pages, and a list of some IP addresses linked from pages that you visit. (b) A searchable index of most pages you visit. (c) Screen capture for pages you share. (d) Cookies or web storage data deposited on your system by websites you visit. (f) A record of downloads you have made from websites.

You can always choose to delete your browsing history information, in whole or in part. You can also limit the information Zetakey Browser stores on your system by using private browsing. In these modes, Zetakey Browser will not store basic browsing history information such as URLs, cached page text, or IP addresses of pages linked from the websites you visit. It will also not store snapshots of pages that you visit or keep a record of your downloads (although this information could still be stored elsewhere on your system, e.g. in a list of recently opened files).

When you make changes to your browser configuration, such as by bookmarking a web page or changing your settings, this information is also saved. These changes are not affected by incognito / guest mode. You can choose to have Zetakey Browser save your passwords for specific websites. Stored passwords can be reviewed in Zetakey Browser settings.

Uses of Information

We use information collected through our for purposes described in this Policy or otherwise disclosed to you in connection with Zetakey Browser. For example, we may use your information to:

(a) Operate and improve the Zetakey Browser, (b) Respond to your comments and questions and provide customer service; (c) Monitor and analyze trends, usage and activities in connection with our Zetakey Browser; (d) Prevent fraudulent transactions; (e) Provide and deliver your products and services and to send you related information, including confirmations, invoices, technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages; (f) Communicate with you about new contests, promotions and rewards, upcoming events, and other news about products and services offered by Zetakey and our selected partners; and (g) Link or combine with other information we get from third parties, to help understand your needs and provide you with better service. Zetakey is based in Hong Kong and the information we collect is governed by Hong Kong law. By accessing or using the or otherwise providing information to us, you consent to the processing and transfer of information in and to the Hong Kong and other countries.

Security of Your Data

Zetakey takes measures to safeguard your information in an effort to prevent loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.
